Default This oil situation look normal to you??

I got a fluctuating oil guage and usual when its cold start will idle around 50psi, then when I take off when its cold still itll go to 60 psi.

Once at operating temp it will sit at 38-40 psi, and stay around 40 psi. But when I stop from crusing for a long time my oil pressure will fluctuate from around 30ish-40 psi . Normal? The car has got a 136K on it with a cam in it.

I think the lope of my cam (112+2LSA) is making it fluctate.

Any insights?

If you got an oil pressure gauge you could hook it up and monitor it for better reference. It very well could be normal for your application. It least its not falling below 10 or so.

Mine did the same on my sotck 98 oil pump, however when i had my cam put in at dex racing they put in a new ls6 ported oil pump and it stop all together. Id say if your on a stock oil pump or you have had your ls6 oil pump for a while it might be time to change it.
