convertible and FLP's ??
What to do with the X brace on the verts? I have sfc's but the stock X brace has to be modified or shimmed down. Anyone done this?

The X-brace is a POS. You can bend it by hand if you're strong. Just get rid of it.
If you insist on keeping it, cut away the metal where it rubs. When I first got my MACs, I had to cut it down to a 3 point connection to make it fit. Then I decided there was no difference without it and took it off.
If you want to tie your car together from side to side, buy a DSL from BMR (or similar design) and install the bottom bracket. Don't worry about installing the loop if you don't go to the track. Its a real solid piece. You may have to shim it with a few washers depending on how low your I-pipe hangs.
