Default HELP ,another cam decision thread.

i've done mulitple searches and read alot about this before posting.

I have a 2002 C5 A4. i plan on doing a "cam only". i only drive the car 3-4 times a week, for a 5 mile trip to and from the gym. (i work from home and have another vehicle) and about once a m o nth i take it to the strip. sometimes i drive more but its just to a friends house or to run a few errands, nothing important.

Current Mods:

LG Pro LT's
NO cats
B&B Bullets
Vararam
3.42 diff
trans cooler
Fast 90/LS2 (not installed yet)

i orginally wanted a Trex with a 4000 Yank conv. but i read a few places that a MS3 or MS4 with a 3800stall would come within 10rwhp of the Rex and make more power below 4K, allowing me to run a lower tighter stall and be more street friendly. i am by no means a cry baby when it comes to streetability, as long as it doesnt over heat or cut off im happy

im looking to have a badass street/strip car. fast enough to take out vipers (hopefully) and i'd like to run low 11's n/a and hit 10's with the 100 shot

so im stuck, what do you guys think i should do? Trex? or MS3? or MS4?

N20 will be run in teh future.

I would go MS3 114lsa, with a TCI4000. Just my .02

hmm... If it were my choice I would chose the MS4 or TRex, leaning more towards the MS4. Not sure about the MS4 but the TRex is pretty much a drag cam.

I would go smaller like Patrick G's torque cam and a little tigher on the converter. Your gears aren't real deep, so a broader flatter power curve would make more sense to me.

i've done more research, i've read several times that the TREX doesnt idle good with the AC on.

im also decided not to go with the MS3.

so now i got it down to the MS4 on a 111lsa, i've also considered a Torquer V2 or V3

what are your takes on these cams?

MS4 with 3800 Stall

or Torquer V2. or V.3 with a 3200stall

how much more power would the MS4 make over the Tq2 and 3 cams??

do you think it will make enough power to justify the loss on low end?> or are they about the same low end?

i havnt found many dynographs that have equal mods but diff cams.
