Default Holden V8 question

I was watching the Austrailian V8 Supercars today (if you aren't familiar with them think 4 door family car unit bodies, H gate manual tranny, V8, rwd, on a road course) and it got me wondering. Do the Holdens that race in that series use LS1s like the street counterparts, or do they use pure race V8s based on the older SBC like Winston Cup does? Do they even use pushrod V8s in the V8 Supercars?

I'm thinking they use LS1s, which makes me wonder if HSV sales race spec LS1 parts to the public. Sorta like here we can buy ASA spec parts at the Chevy dealership. There might be an off the shelf intake or other cools parts in Austrailia that we dont even know about.
