Default Head gasket bore size?

Alright, im getting down the the small details before I finish my shopping and start building my motor..

I had heard you could(and some said I should) run larger bore gasket than the cylinder bore. Is this true?

My bore is 4.030, I figured I would just use 4.030 cometic head gaskets.

Thanks guys,
Lurius

no, you dont do it that way. the firing needs room to squish

Alright, sounds good enough. Anyone ideas where to find the 4.060 bore cometic gaskets? TSP only had the 4" and 4.030 where I looked.. I guess if I called them I could get any though.

I'm doing a 408 and everyone says to use the 6.0L OEM gaskets which are 4.040. I thought that was a little tight, but Erik at HPE says no problem.
