Am I crazy?
Do you think you could go 100,000 miles on a turbo LS1, ~7.5:1 comp pistons and 14lbs of boost. Would it just be a stupid idea in the first place? I'd be shooting for 700rwhp and a daily driver.
as long as you strengthen everything appropriately for that HP level, maintain it and use the best fuel and replace everything as it breaks, sure. You could get 200,000 miles, barring a major shunt.
Is it practical? Of course not. It's a hobby car. Taken as such, it could be a lot of fun, but too expensive and unreliable for daily driving. Then again, life's too short to miss opportunities for a good time. Talk to a reputable tuner who can tell you exactly what you'll need and how much you can expect to pay, depending on how much of the work you can realistically expect to perform yourself.
Good luck & post pics (and timeslips)! <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

A turbo car's worst enemy.......DETONATION. Avoid this at all costs and you'lll see some decent mileage from your bottom end.
You need to email Harlan about this subject. He has prolonged his stock LS1 bottom end for a good while running a TT setup. He has plenty of info on how to properly tune a T or TT'd LS1 for maximum power, life, etc..
