Default Cam and springs help!!

i just bought a cam and some springs for my ls1... do the springs need to be shimmed? Or can i just puy em in behind my old springs?

What springs did you get that you would think you would need to do that?

i bought a lunati 224/224 .563/.563 114lsa and got the springs that would hold 570... i dont know any part numbers cause i bought the stuff used on the site.

If you want to do it right, check the spring height and be sure it's right. I installed some Comp 921's in my LS2, I check the install height to be sure, but in the end none of them needed to be shimmed...now I know it's right.

ok... my dad is the mechanic for this job b/c a cant afford anyone to do it and he's never messed with any of the new gen motors so he just got me on here to ask some questions. maybe this build wont be too much different from the old 327's hes used to workin on.
