Default forged motor questions

my engine bulder on here told me to let my 348 to warm up some before driving it with forged pistons anyone else do this

He was prolly refering to the fact that forged pistons tend to rattle in the bores a little when cold.

For long term care for your motor just let it warm up before you put alot of rpm to it. It is not going to break the forged piston, but it helps keep the piston scuff to a minimum. It also helps save the piston ring edges as well.

i was thinking the same thing for long term use,those pistons and the lsk cam sure make some racket lol
