Having no luck with SLP MAF and MAFT?

Having no luck with SLP MAF and MAFT? Just started playing with it. LTrims seems quite high at "0" settings, so I started to lean out the base settings. When I get to about 15% lean, the car won't run worth a crap.
--Is there learning time required every time the settings are changed?
--When people say adjust the LTrims to "0" while "cruising", can someone define cruising. Part throttle? 25% throttle? 50% throttle? I notice the LTrims var quite a bit depending on the load.
--When changing settings, do you have to step through them? Or can you jump past a few? Say from 5% to 20%, or will this cause very poor idle.

Re: Having no luck with SLP MAF and MAFT? Doh! I think I was doing things backwards! If the LTrims are positive, then I am running LEAN? I should be adding fuel rather than taking it away. No wonder the damn thing won't idle <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0">
