Default Shotpeen rods?

I had my rotating assembly fully blanced and naturally they had to grind a bit off the rods. Should I have them shot peened or should it be ok?

Grind the rods to balance the motor?.........As I understand it they drill the counter weights on the crank to balance the motor.

If your going to have them shot peened make sure it's actual "shot peening", a lot of shops will just bead blast them instead and call it shot peening. Is shot peening nessesary?.....probably not if it's a street application.
