Maf Screen Removal
ok i have a 2001 TA i think im going to stay away from ported ends but would it be of anty benefit to remove the screen seems like i read that the maf and housing is different on the 01 so is it possible to remove it

They pop right out, just make sure you take the ends apart before doing it just to make sure you don't damage the MAF wires, by the way the MAF's and housings are all the same from '98-'02 they have NOT chnaged no matter what GM says!

Rock01ta, I flow tested maf before and after descreen and it picked up 124cfm! My 2001 Z28 picked up .10 et and 1 mph doing this on a otherwise stock setup.Also stock air filter only hurts air cleaner to throttle body testing by 44cfm. All testing @ 20" of water.
