i would try disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours and then hook it back up and see what happens, it will reset your computer, doesn't hurt to try.

if the car was under warranty when you brought it to the dealership the first time for this concern then i would bring it back to them and throw a fit. another option would be to check the terminal tightness in the connectors at the back of the instrument cluster. just a guess but you probably need a new cluster. <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

Man, have I seen this one a lot lately. The very first thing to do is start at the terminal connections at the battery, especially if you're still running the stock Delco. (some of them seem to be prone to some leakage) Take the positive terminal connector out of it's boot and make sure it's corrosion-free. Also, check the terminal bolts and make sure they're not corroded. Once the zinc plating on the terminal bolts starts corroding, they especially will yield those symptoms. If no problems there, start looking for crappy ground connections. Good luck.

Default electical problem

I took my car in for service about a month ago for an electrical problem that happened every now and then...they said nothing was wrong but now this happens on every start up. When i start my car all my guages power up...go dead...then power up and show the correct readings. I'm not sure what this could be? any suggestions? Not sure if this has anything to do with it or not but also at night i can see my lights flicker for a split second every now and then. My car is now out of warranty so i cant take it back to the dealership but want to fix this problem. Everytime this happens my trip odometer resets to 0 and i cant record how many miles i've went from tank to tank of gas..or on trips.
