I am curious about this also - I remember when ARE first came out with theirs it was a big news item, but now it's faded to the point were you don't hear about it anymore?
Were there issues with it, is it still produced, or with the switch to double springs has it just fallen in disfavor?
Is there any fitament issue with it on solid roller cars, and is ARE using it on their solid buildups.
Thanks,
Chris

Well, I have doing some looking around. They still make them. It looks Morgan Motorsports and Internet Racer Supply sell them. Not sure if it is for an LS1 though. Also Comp Cams and Crane Cams make kits. I wonder if this is worth getting. They seem to be right around $100. Is it worth it? Are there draw backs like premature lifter wear?

Jackyl30, I have only used rev kits on gen 1 small blocks but i do know about them: When made properly, springs square to lifter there is almost no extra lifter bore wear. As for lifters they actually last longer because spring preload keeps lifter on lobe, removing the pounding that needle bearings would normally see as cam and lifter lose contact. As i mentioned elsewhere rev kits keep lifters in place to maintain oil pressure in the event of a valetrain failure. <img src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" border="0" alt="[judgement]" />
