Default My motor ticks....

At about 2k rpms my motor ticks really bad and you can hear it over the intake pretty well. Is this a lifter problem?? I just bought the car and it has a cam in it just wondering if it is somewhat normal on cammed cars or should I be calling the dealer to rip some ***?

I believe this to be very common in quite a few LS1s. It could be a lifter.
Does it go when hot? What cam you have? Did valve train was also upgraded? Some more info needed.
I got a similar tic when I went through my first oil change. I went with Mobil 1 10/30 and developed it. Then I search for some solution and added two quarts of Mobil 1 50. Tic was gone. In my case apparently some lifter was losing oil.

My Comp R lifters make a lot of noise...could very well be a lifter in your case as well. More info would be good as stated before.

Ok so I dont know what cam is in it or if anything else in the motor was changed. Im trying to get a hold of the previous owner to see exactly what was done.
