Port/Polish New Heads
Just wondering what is the best way to port/polish some new heads. I was going to buy some bare 243 casting heads and do the porting myself. I don't have another $500 to spend on the CNC porting.
I definitely do not want to do anything I am uninformed about. Any insight from you guys?

If you are doing the port yourself, stick to smoothing out the surfaces and gasket matching. Avoid the seat area as a slip will cost you a seat repair. Rough surface on the intake for atomization smooth as possible on the exhaust for heat dissipation. If you are going to use a dremel, it will take a long time. Buy a die grinder with appropriate bits. Be sure to where a dust mask as the dust is accumulative and the fibers from cartridge rolls are toxic. If you need any other help or ideas drop me a line. shakerheads@aol.com
