Stock heat shield with Taylor 10.4s ?
I dont see how the heatshield reduces temps or protects the boot .
If anything i'd think that air would not circulate freely inside the boot & provide a hot pocket which would make things worse.
I've test fitted the stock boot to the taylor wires & with slight effort, the wires fit, but I dont know if I should put them on or not.
A heatshield for the exhaust I can understand, air is free to circulate on both sides, carrying heat away, but this logic seems to break down with heat shield on the plug wires...
I have jethot coated headers & there is no problem with clearance...

So why does GM supply stock heat shield with their wires ?
This heat shield thing isn't making any sense to me .
