I have a 99 SS and am looking at doing a cam and heads package on it. I dont know alot about the LS1 so am a little torn as to what route to go. I am really partial to AFR heads. I have run them in the past and loved them but dont know if they make ones for the LS1 yet. I was thinking of heads in the 227cc area and a cam with about a 550 lift on a 114 lsa. Is this to much for street use? I have FLP's on the way as well as an MTI lid. Any help or suggetions would be GREATLY appreciated. Goal is 450 at the tires. Can it be done with this set-up?

For now, no one make an after market head for the LS1. But to be honest, the stock heads are good enough for just about any combination.
