Default which headers?

I'm having a hard time picking a header for mw ls1, right now its stock but more mods later. I'm seeing primary tube length should be at 32 inches plus or minus 1 inch. Also different headers for different engines 346, 382,422. Wow I'm confused. Then add to it all the manufactures. SLP, FLP, MAC, hooker,ASM,dynatech, TTS. I don't have to worry about emmisions because my ls1 is in an early model car, do I still need to run o2 sensors and if so I want the headers to have provisions for this. Can any body give some input.

What type of other mods do you have now, what do you plan to do with the car as far as mods? Do you have a 346, are you going to build a 382, do you spray a lot of nitrous or have a supercharger? Manual or auto tranny?

Sounds like you'd probably be best to custom fab them to fit your car and clear the steering shaft then. There might be an Fbody or Corvette header that would fit though, but who knows...
