Are single-chain Rollmasters loose on the crank?

Are single-chain Rollmasters loose on the crank? My engine builder told me that the rollmaster timing set was .005" or .050" (can't remember) too big for the crank. I called and asked a guy Futral (where I bought it from) about it and he said it was okay. That this is normal and something about when the engine heats up it fits or something. Me and my engine builder decided to go ahead with the cloyes hex-adjust timing set. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this?
