Default hooker LT's and True Duals.......

hello,

As soon as i get my headers from jet hot, i am going to go get my exhaust done. I plan on running an h-pipe into a couple of bullet style mufflers (any suggestions??). i plan on running 2.5 inch piping the entire way, but now i'm not sure what size to get. I am going to have i exit out right before the rear tires.

So here are my questions.

1. what bullet style muffler (cant be to large) will quiet down my exhaus the most without restricting it too much?

2. What size should go with?

3. X or H pipe??

thanks
Ryan

well, if you are worried about noise, i think a lot of people have said that an X-pipe will quiet it down a bit along with the bullet mufflers. i say go wtih the dynomax bullet mufflers for sake of price and sound. who is doing your install, or are you diong it yourself?

I would go three inch into a 3 inch crossover into bullets and then spintech oval tubing under the axle up to dual 3 inch tips exiting under the back of the car. That is the best setup IMO You can get that spintech tubing pretty narrow and still have the same flow as round 3 inch

Thanks Chris and chris.

Will i lose a lot of low end torque with 3 inch all the way?? I plan on putting in a cam right after i get my exhaust done, and heads next winter. I just dont want it to be a dog down low.

Thanks

BTW, im putting the header in myself, but i am having everything else done.

When its all done I'm gonna have chromed Z28 tips coming out of the side on wings west side skirts.

Also, I dont want to run duals under the axle because my car is lowerd 1.5 inches and i dont want to scrape it all to hell.

Thanks again

I like Chris ARE's idea too. Especially since you will be adding heads and cam later. Should sound good and make good power. What stage heads and cam do plan on going with.

Spintec also has a flat low profile version of there muffler.Looks like it might have more ground clearance than a bullit.

That just lowers the body on the suspension. The axle is still the same distance from the ground
