Default PLEASE EDUCATE ME!

Hi let me start by sayinng that I am glad to find a forum that talks about LS1 because I just got a 98 Formula and I really dont know a lot of information about the car.

can someone answer my questions if you'll dont mind
what is the diff between a trans am and a formula?
how much power do I have in the formula with an A4 with K&N, Borla catback, whisper lid?
what mod can i start to do for some more HP
why is the stabilizer bar that is located just behind the muffler bent, It supposed to be straight right?
what would cause it to bend?
do all formulas have aluminum driveshaft?
how can I relocate the drivers door.. mine is a little of balance, I can tell when I close the door.
if any of these questions are answered I really apreciate your time.
Im looking forward to driving my car....man this thing has some *****

Welcome!

The trans am has a different front bumper and rear bumper and spoiler, some older formulas didn't have T-tops....

The only way to find out how much "power" you have from that is to dyno it to find out the rear wheel HP....you probably have around 310rwhp
and you can tell people 345 at the crank...

You have the basic mods...headers and some free mods will help, if you want to spend some money we can go into details...some free mods are located at www.installuniversity.com go to install documents..

Has the car ever been in an accident??

300rwhp, and the potential to go low 13's.

What mod can i start to do for some more HP?
Stick or auto?

Why is the stabilizer bar that is located just behind the muffler bent, It supposed to be straight right?
It's a straight, stamped metal bar. It should be straight.

what would cause it to bend?
Accident, improper jacking, etc.

do all formulas have aluminum driveshaft?
No, the 2.73 cars have steel ones, mine does.

how can I relocate the drivers door.. mine is a little of balance, I can tell when I close the door.
Loosen up the bolts and adjust it

I have a 98 Formula, red, hardtop car.

Welcome to the best LS1 UBB on the web!

OK first you made a good choice with the a4. You should have about 300 rwhp. and you should do better then a 13.000. With those mods if you get lower then a 2.099 60' you should be in running high 12's. If you are looking for hp I would get some long tube headers. if you want to pick up yoru 1/4 mile times get a 3200 vig or a 3500 yank troque converter. You will some some good changes in time and you will notice it. . If you have any other questions just ask we are all pretty friendly
