Heard some rattling in the engine so I pulled the heads to find this in No. 7.

this mark is about 1/2in long and less than a hair width. You can feel it with a fingernail. I would say it is a scrach in the wall near Top of cylinder 7.

So what is the remedy for this, Will I have to pull the engine?

this is the damage in No 6, how parts could get to No 7 is a mistery, the heads look in very good shape, but the I havent looked at the valve seats.

 

Id say scratch, if it was a crack, it would be thinner like the crosshatch thats barely visible in the photo's. what the hell was that from? valves still in good shape? piston skirts broken maybe? possible melt the end of the spark plug off in the cyl. with nitrous?
good luck with that man. doesnt look good. it also looks very deep. maybe too deep to machine out.
is it straight up and down in the cyl.? or at an angle? looks to be at an angle from the pics.

It's a scratch, probably was something left in the cylinder when the heads were installed. If you can catch your nail on it, chances are it's not going to go away with a .007 or .010 over bore/hone. Either deal wth it or get a new block. It's not the cause of your noise though.

Impact, and it appears in photo 8 that the valve broke and was the cause. Have you brought that piston to the bottom of stroke and check the cylinder walls?

 

Yes No. 6 cylinder is cracked, so I pulled the motor out the top and need Santa to bring a new one, something forged and stroked would be nice.
