Can a broken valve spring be completely silent?
This is my first post here, I have been a LS1.com member from the beginning, it is nice to see such a tech related board!!
I have a flashing SES light and the car is down on power slightly. I store the car through the winter about an hour from home. I took it out for a easy cruise Thursday and bam! 45 minute into it, the SES started flashing?? I left my scantool at home so I'm paranoid until I can get back down to the car....I have a T1 cam with K-Motion springs, the car is in a heated garage, I let it warm for 10 minute before I drove it. Didn't beat on it at all.
I hope it it a coil pack or plug wire and nothing serious.
Thanks in advance!

I made a post similar to this and the general consensus was that "yes" i would be able to CLEARLY hear a broken valvespring. Everyone told me that it would be very noticeable.
Your best bet is to A-tap it. If you dont have one, try and find a friend who does. Did your SES light come on while idling? Maybe you got the infamous Random Misfire Code? just a-tap it and see...could be something totally different to, you just dont know...
