well i was just thinking maybe valve float was the cause of the very low peak #s. stock cams peak around 5500rpm. that things way bigger then stock, obviously. it should peak closer to 7000rpm. so if the valves are starting to float around 5700rpm, power would dump off, just like your chart did. know what I mean?
th350, aha. trans fluid still in good shape? if it was slipping that badly, even if only under full throttle, it would be burning the fluid pretty quickly. not sure where you located, but are the tracks still open near you? maybe you should try a few pass's at the track and see what the MPH tells ya? does it feel way slower then your last setup?
oh yeah, and Im just tossing this out there just in case, but are you positive the fuel was not dropping off on the dyno? as in someone was watching the gauge during the run? or maybe goin WOT down the street now, after the fact if you have a fuel press. gauge in the car.
I had a similar situation in my car a few months ago. I changed out my trans and stall conv.. went from 2800rpm stall to 3800rpm, and even though first time at the track took off .2 off the sixtyfoot, GAINED .2 by the end of the run. I was running low 12's before, after running 12.30's. figured out that my new trans TV cable was not letting the throttle open more then 60%. after I figured that out I went back to the track and dropped .5sec. from my last runs with the problem. moral of the story is sometimes you just dont see a problem thats causing a huge power loss, and hopefuly you'll find yours soon. or maybe you'll be another one of those very fast cars, that just cant seem to put power down on the dyno for some strange reason?
anyways good luck.

This cam does not need to be degreed. You need to line it up dot-to-dot. Mine peaks early IMO at 6300 so it is way off. What springs and were they new? You need really good springs with this cam. I would not use used springs. And you need to shim them too. 0.050-0.060 bind hieght. Unlocked autos with this cam should be around 400rwhp with good exhaust. Headers and TDs or even open headers. It does not like back pressure in the high end, but will make more torque in the low end with a little back pressure. Does this car have headers? If so what kind? Most 1.75" LTs will do fine. What gear? Whay dyno?

[QUOTE=foff667]
the converter could be unlocked on mustang dyno and it be 120* celcius outside & that combo shouldnt dyno that low.[/QUOTE
Ahh we have dynoed a few of these cams and they make about that with a 3600/4000 stall converter from yank. However those cars are running mid to low 11's so big power numbers off of a dynojet don;t really mean **** IMO.However we have a mustang 1750 so you take your pick accurate power with an equally accurate 1/4 mile sim or inflated power. However that power on a dynojet does seem a bit off. Looking at the curve however I am willing to bet that the real problem is the converter is just slipping. You can see it in the wavyness of the curve. Looks like excessive smothing or potentially a fualty RPM pickup this will always skew the Power numbers. Can this guy get his hands on the raw unfiltered unsmoother data?

Sorry had to bring this back up. I was searching for more T-Rex results and found someone had posted one of my old dyno graphs. This is not my T-Rex dyne graph! This is a cam I tried before the T-Rex.
The T-Rex made 380hp unlocked and 420 locked through a 4l60e, Fast 90/90, and 8.8 rear w/4.30 gears.
I just wanted to clear that up for anyone searching in the future
