long tube install question
I have not decided on a brand yet, but was wondering if the installs are easier with the heads off? I'm thinking maybe they can go in through the top? The heads, cam, etc are tapping me out pretty good so a couple bucks saved one by not upgrading jack and stands would help. Thanks

Re: long tube install question
You're gonna pull the heads, drop in the LTs, and then reinstall the heads, then bolting the headers to them?
Seems like a L O T of work for nothing. The money you would have to spend on new head gaskets and bolts and so forth would probably pay for a nice jack and set of stands at least.
Unless you were already gonna replace the heads and stuff, I wouldn't waste your time.

The heads are alreaqdy off geting ported. My current jack and stands maybe can get the wheels up a foot. I've read the car needs to be up much higher for the typical install. Can they go in through the top w/o the heads on?

While your in that deep the headers would
be a snap.. still they go in from the bottom.
Here is a header poll..
