So theres this Ad posted in a local website and this guy is selling hes 2000 Trans am and i was thinking, What would it cost to drop in that ls1 in my 97 Trans Am.
If i can get his entire front for 2K would that it be worth it and how much do you think it would ultimatly cost for someone to do this. And what would i need to get else. Thanks

i dont know about a cost but....i willin to bet that it wouldnt be worth the cost....i mean the LS1 is GREAT....i love mine and wouldnt trade it for nothin but...thats probably and expensive swap....and plus the money that u would spend on doing that could have gone to better mods to ur LT1.....just my .02

Engine mounts are different. You will need LS1 wairing harness and PCM.

Not sure if headers flanges are same as LT1 or different too.

You need a K member from an LS1 car. LT1 headers will not bolt up. You'd have to send your harness to somebody like Speartech. Other than that I think it's a perfect way to keep a car you already love and make it better. I'd go for it.
