Default max lift before piston notching is required

How much lift can be ran in a LS1 (assuming .030 milled) before you need to flycut the pistons?

Brian, there are many, even more important factors to look at when talking about piston-to-valve clearance. Lift is important to some extent, but duration, ramp rates, lope seperation, valve size. amount milled off the heads, etc. play an even more important role.

We had to notch the piston for the intake valve on my cam. The exhaust valve had sufficient clearance. Cam specs were 230/230 .612/.612 (.594/.594 after lash) 112 lsa, extremely fast ramps., .030 milled off the heads, 2.02/1.57 valves.
