Ok, my girlfriends '95 GTP w/ 65k miles is acting crazy.
When you brake hard it feels almost like the car is sliding/skidding but it's not (fry road), almost the same feeling as when on ice and the ABS kicks in. The car abrubtly stops as if the ABS was in use.
Also, after doing that, when you press the gas it abrubtly jolts forward after a second, as if the tranny is kinda slipping or something.Like the same as it jolts/shakes when you press the brake it does the same when you press the gas.
Also, when you start the car it has a loud banging/knocking sound coming from the lower part of the engine, near the tranny (the car is front wheel drive). It also does this banging/knocking when you rev the car in park/neutral. <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Can anyone conclude what coudl cause this????

Dang thats alot sounds. My dad has a 95 GTP that I drive alot and it has no funny sounds under it at all and I'v drove it hard. It has 121,000 miles on it as well. It could be alot of things making those sounds bad cv joints, tranny going south, lots of things. I don't know but you may want to have it looked at because on front-driver when things start acting funny up-front I wouldn't want to chance it.

 

Yeah, i was thinking mayeb the tranny or mayeb a universal joint or something, but...
What freaked me out is that it does it when you brake hard also.
