Will noncoated headers rust and discolor real bad?
I ordered the Hooker LT's and got them coated, but now I am wondering if the coating is all that worth it, if I got them noncoated I could get a hooker catback also rather my stock WS6 catback with a flowmaster muffler which is going to sound like *** with off roads. So what is the concensus, Jet hot coated with stock catback or non coated with Hooker catback,I can't afford the coating and the catback. Will the headers rust badly? please lend me some expert help.

cat backs are usually stainless steel (wont rust) or aluminized steel (take a long time to rust)
the hooker LT headers are mild steel and will rust as soon as the paint cooks off (quick) and they start getting wet .......
the coating was a GOOD investment <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

The ceramic coatings also act as a heat barrier and will reduce underhood temps compared to running uncoated or unwrapped headers.

So you all think that it is worth it to stick with the coated headers and and my stock WS6 catback rather than go uncoated headers and a hooker catback?
