I was wondering this last night. Use a standard bore with forged rods and pistons. Run a solid lift cam with all the needed hardware too. Bet it would rev nicely, but the stock crank could be a hinderance.

Its pretty stout <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

From what I've seen here is what you are looking at:

S2 heads with massive springs (extra machining required over single springs, but should be a wash if the heads were originally double springs)
valve cover spacers for the rockers (250 or so)
rockers (T&D) 835 from Thunder
cam (no price difference)
solid lifters
pushrods
longer plug wires since the coils are spaced up from the valvecover spacers
custom tuning to bump up the redline past 6600 Hypertech allows
you most likely will need to notch stock pistons to get decent lift (or else why go solid??)

Basically you are looking at over 4K for all the parts <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">
