Increasing shift firmness on the Hypertech unit will not significantly raise the WOT line pressure, just part throttle line pressure.

By adjusting the base setting on a Mass Air Flow Translator, you can bring your L-Trims back to 0% (like running a stock MAF) and your transmission line pressure will be back to normal.

If you still keep positive L-Trims when using the MAFT, the HPP3 cannot make enough of a pressure difference to offset the loss that came from running a ported MAF.
