382 is almost done! Well, all work is almost done. The engine is fully assembled. And the car should be ready by next week. I have installed the following:
Lunati 382 stroker assembly
ARE stage 2 heads
Thunder Racing 226.5/226.5 .566/.566 114 LSA
LS6 intake
Ported TB
Custom tuning
TTS
And the other blot on’s.
I am hopping to see somewhere in the 450rwhp range. I might need some other stuff to get me there, like pulleys, light flywheel, and carbon fiber drive shaft. But, I will dyno first and see what I get when it is ready.

I'm having a 382 all-bore done, what's the difference in a 382 stroker?
And I am planning stage 3 heads, why did you use stage 2?

I am using ARE stage 2 heads with double spring and 2.08 valve. The pushrods wasted a lot of time because we needed to figure out what was the right length. It should be ready next week! I am using stage 2 because I am not changing the bore like you are! You are changing the bore to 4.1 and the heads should accommodate that. I am still using about the same bore as stock.
The difference between the two is that the big bore has bigger bore (4.10) but still has the stock stroke. The Stroker in the other hand has different stroke and 3.9 bore. Both will achieve 382 ci, but some say that the BB makes a bit more power. I do not know about power, but with the BB it will be easier to add a stroker to it to get 422 ci that all are dreaming about.
I like the Lunati stroker kit because it is all forged and should be very reliable and should take more abuse. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" border="0" alt="[devil]" />
