Default Do I need to upgrade my injectors?

I will be adding an LS6 intake, stageII heads and cam 222/222 .566/.566 @114LSA. Will the 26# injectors work or should I upgrade to 28# or SVO 30#?
Thanks Rich.

Your injectors will be fine depending on how much power you put down. You shouldn't need to go to SVO 30# or above until you are rolling 450-460 HP on the dyno.

Thanks for the websites. According to the calculator I need around 27#, why does GM use 28# if they are not producing over 400hp? Can you increase your timing by going with the larger injector and use the MAFT or LS1 Edit to lean it out?

Same dilemma I was in a few weeks ago. There are people running Y2k cars with heads/cam and stock injectors. I think like mine they are way up on the edge of the 26 lbers and running duty cycles too high for optimal performance. Going with what the formulas and experts say we should have at least 28 lbs and 30 lbs gives you some margin. I changed to 30 lbers but couldn't get lean enough just with my translator at idle. I had to have my PCM changed for these injectors. I would guess you would need to anyway with the changes you have planned. Now my fuel trims are dead on.

I have Ford SVO 30# injectors (equivalent to 36# for us) sitting in my garage waiting for a new LS6 intake. I plan on using my MAFT to lean it down by 20% to start and go from there. I needed the MAFT anyway a year ago. If I were you, I would seriously consider the LS1 Edit. There is a table in there where you can change the flow to match your injectors (or so I've heard). You can also "fine tune" many other items to take advantage of your modifications.

I would look at the following sites:

www.vetteguru.com/mods/howto/

www.rceng.com/technical.htm

That info suggests that the crank HP should be no more than 337.92 for an 80% duty cycle or 422.4 for 100% duty cycle.
