Checking KR with 100 unleaded?
Found a place near me that sells Sunoco 100 and 104 unleaded race gas. I was on about 1/8th tank and I put 8 gallons of 100 octane in.
Now, beside the obvious readings RPM, KR, what should I monitor with the A-Tap?
I just want to know if this is real KR or false.
Thanks.

Z,
I'd compare the exact same things you were comparing before you added the 100. Else you may be comparing apples to oranges.
AT won't just raise a red flag to tell you that it's real or false. At a minimum, I'd suggest RPM, Timing, and Knock. You need to see if the retard diminishes or goes away. That is the only way you will be able to determine if it is false or not. Try to compare similar driving conditions when comparing the logs.
How ironic, actually. I added 5 gallons of unleaded 104 to half a tank of gas today and my KR didn't disappear.

I agree that you should use the same parameters w/ the race gas as you did w/ out it. I seem to always get KR at the track, and I lost 1.5 MPH and .1 in the 1/4 from it two weeks ago. I added 3 gallons of 100 unleaded, and it was gone by the 2nd pass. I wish I could've gotten some today. I had 4+ degrees of KR at the track.

Re: Checking KR with 100 unleaded?
The KR only showed up on the dyno run that I logged. So, I'll just have to test it on the road in the A.M. I monitored RPM, O2's, timing and KR.
Hpe it's false knock and Nine Ball has some more Knock-Out box's laying around.
