Oil pressure seems high

Oil pressure seems high I have a 2000 vette. the oil pressure reads 112psi is this normal? I would have thought that if it is this high it is a good thing. I have been told that it is not.... any ideas? also I have the Ls-6 intake is this normal?

the gauge doesn't but if you look at the driver information center that is what it will tell you and it climbs to that once you start it
