Question regarding my brother's TA He's wondering what would happen if he slapped on just stock 5.3l heads on his '00 WS6 that has every bolt on. He would obviously get higher compression but would they flow worse? Thanks.

Re: Question regarding my brother's TA If my thinking is correct here, the truck cylinder heads use smaller valves and do not flow as well as the 5.7L heads do. I think a pair of totally unmodified truck heads would cost some power, even though the compression ratio would go up a little from the smaller combustion chamber.
Now, all that goes out the window when you start talking about a ported/reworked truck head with larger valves. You basically end up with an LS1 head as far as flow capability goes, but a smaller combustion chamber to boost compression as well...
