Default Finally the 382 stroker is in!

I got the car today and it is a sleeper! The 226.5 cam from TR did what I wanted it has a un noticeable rumble. The car is running very good and as smooth as silk.

However, I am not that happy because I can’t use the power as of yet (break in time) <img src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" border="0" alt="[whiner]" /> . I’d say after about 1500 miles on the new 382, I will burn the road and see how fast I could melt the tires <img src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" border="0" alt="[devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" border="0" alt="[devil]" />

Congrats! I hope it performs well for you. Also, you may not need to baby it for as long as you think you have to here, but do make sure to have warm springs, etc. before revving it.

Thanks guys!

Vmoore, since my old engine was not disassembled at the time. I got the heads and a prepped block from ARE so that I save time. I got the Lunati stoker kit and the only thing needed to be done was to bore the block. Since I got the block from ARE and they have there own machine shop they bored the block for the new pistons. And All I had to do is install every thing. A very good shop in Austin called MZM did the install for me.
Therefore, my stock block and crank are for sale.

I hope to hit 440 rwhp and 440 rwtq.

WstSidHomE, I have to say MZM did a great job with the install. Their work was extremely clean and precise. The install went smooth until we got to the rockers. ARE heads were not the same as before! So, to get the right geometry we had to install 7.250 rockers. But after that, it was a breeze!

By the way, where is the hangout these days? Is it still at Best Buy?
I might show up this Saturday (I have my car back <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> )
