<img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> WHO can help with a PO442 ACTIVE CODE??? i checked out my service engine light, code was a po0442 active. looked it up, and cleared it. the book sais the code stood for "EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED" (small leak) well W.T.F. IS THIS??? ANY HELP??? thanks alot. <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" />

This could be a bad gas cap, a bad evap system purge solenoid, or sticking vent valve. All of these assume you havent left anything loose or disconnected, Good luck.

Also if your gas gauge sender was bad you could pull this code.
