My bone stock motor is using 1 qt. ever 1500 mile. this is not good. rings or PCV valve? any TSB's on this? 02 SS. Other wise this car is ok, cept for the 'ting' I here on left rear on shifting. Thanks to all. <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

hey man i had the same prob.. i switched from a 5-30 synthetic to a 10-30 synthetic.. ever since i got headers, the car runs more rich so it consumed about a quart and a half in only 1000 miles.. use 6 qts also.. oil consumption is a known problem with our cars.. just go to a heavier weight and add 6 qts and see how that does

5w-30 Molbil 1. Not many above 3000. but I do nail it sometimes. No engine braking, just throws in nuetrel when stoping. Went to AZ. From LA. after 300mile put-put driving then put 3800 mile on the interstate and did use some but it seems to be getting worst.
