Default FRA B4 FTRA

I'm going to do the FRA mod this afternoon and the FTRA mod this summer. I want to be sure that after the FRA mod I can still do the FTRA so I'm concerned about cutting the radiator baffle. Can I cut that baffle in place as Installuniversity says and just use the directions for cutting sizes from FTRA instructions?

Thanks.

You have to dp the FRA to do the FTRA, but a word of caution, dont cut it out all the way , I would leave about 1/2 inch around the whole outside for the seals that come with the FTRA. I cut mine out completely and now I have to use lots of silicone to seal it up. lots.... you can allways trim it farther when you get the FTRA if it turns out that 1/2 inc was too much

Yea, I got a question on the radiator cover as well. Whenever I did the FRA on my car I tied the cover up against the front of my car with some lock ties. I did this so I wouldn't have to cut my radiator cover. It worked great, the radiator baffle was completely out of the way. My question is when I put my FTRA on I didn't cut the cover. I'm worried cause I'm not sure if I am getting the same gains as I would had I cut it. I really didn't notice a difference(SOTP) in the FTRA even at higher speeds. Could this be the reason why. TIA
