Sound Stock Cam???
What is a cam that will sound close to stock? I don't want the dealership to be able to tell I have a cam unless they look. Also I plan on getting some kind of headers. Are there any that work with the stock cats and y-pipe?

Re: Sound Stock Cam???
depends on your idle speed. The stock A4 idle is low so you are limited if you don't raise it. An M6 idle can be raised to 900 rpm very easily. At 900 rpm my Comp 218/218 114 .563 cam sounded like stock; it took a well trained to ear to detect the lope.
Headers:
Shorty headers are available but pretty much a waste of cash IMO. 98-99s may get a tiny benefit.
Long Tubes are the way to go. SLP & FLP offer systems with interchangable cats & ORP. Other headers can be bought with high flow cats in the Y-Pipe, or you can buy high flow cats and weld them in.
Click on a couple sponsors and peruse what's available.

Re: Sound Stock Cam???
My MTI B1 idling at 900 sounds pretty darn stock with stock exhaust manifolds.
In my camaro I have a TR224 on a 114lsa idling at 800 through longtubes and it sounds like it has a mild cam...probably enough for a dealer to tell.
If you have headers, you could always just tell them any audible lope is due to the headers making it sound like that (the headers do amplify the effect a lot)
