go the Fel Pro Grey if you use anything....I don't use anything and have no issues..

Re: Anyone that has installed head studs Yep! I had some interference, putting my ARP studs in.
I cut two (2) vertical slots through the thread of a large and small (old) head bolt/s, with a small angle grinder.
I then ran these bolts up and down the thread, with a light rattle gun. This cleared all the muck GM put there.
After this I was able to finger tighten the studs. No silicone, No problems. 10,000 miles ago!

Re: Anyone that has installed head studs Well yes! I removed my heads last weekend. 12,000 miles since the studs. No ISSUES! As Howquick Said, "Fel Pro Grey" if you must.
