Try flipping the ported unit around backwards and see where you O2s go. I bet they'll richen up a little bit. Like to .920-.930 or so. That'll be good for spraying and you can easily flip it back around for optimum NA performance.
Assuming you're not getting any KR with the O2s like they are now, yes, it has been well proven that you should be a little quicker than with the mixture fat and the timing advance low.

You have stock exhaust manifolds and cats?
With lid, free mods, and macs (cats or no cats), my car runs best with the bone stock maf. O2s are 900-910 with 0 KR. As soon as I use the ported one 02s are 850-860, with at least 3 KR. Flipping it backwards 02s go to 890 (which is probably ideal) but I still get at least 3 degrees of KR. I have a 98 too.

ported MAF ends vs non ported... any differences???
any proven differences?
cause with the ported ones my o2's are .88-.90
with the stock ends im at .93-.94 and some .95's
im just afraid i may be a little close to the lean side to spray on with the ported ones...
i dont feel like switching the ends when i spray and when i dont, but i want the best NA times i can get... so is there any proven difference in ET between the 2?
