Help! Is my clutch toasted? let my brother drive my car this morning and of course the very first thing he decided to do was a burn-out. Except I think he gave the clutch a work out. All I heard was RPM's and then it was like a smoke bomb let loose under the car. It seems okay..smells burned...like toast but otherwise I'm at a lose to figure what's been done? Re: Help! Is my clutch toasted? It got overheated from slipping it too much.Our clutches do not like heat.
Should be fine.Let it cool and dump it on the street and see if it catches.
I've burnt mine a few times on the track by slipping it too much off the line.I let it cool down and it works fine.
