Can someone here tell me the difference between the head castings on the LS1 heads? I have some 241's and some 853's. My corvette happens to have 853's but I am building another engine for my street rod and wondered about and differences such as volumes and flow.

All LS1 heads 1997-2003 are identical with one exception:

97-98 LS1 heads have perimiter valve cover bolts.

99-03 LS1 heads have center valve cover bolt placement.
