Default ASP pulley removal tip

I just removed mine from my 97 C5 and if anyone needs to know the bolt size to remove the pulley, it's 5/16-24 which is a fine thread bolt. You will need 3 of them. These bolts screw into the balancer and you can use a universal balancer removal tool. Good luck. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

A normal 3 jaw puller works too.

So how hard was dropping the steering rack? what all did you have to do?

Didn't have to! Well, I mean I didn't take it all the way out. Just unbolted everything, removed all lines and slid it as far as possible to the right. Then propped it up so the rack is above the center of the pulley and used a universal harmonic balancer puller. It's kind of tight in there but it works.
