Default Poor performace

Guys , Im new to the LS1 game , Here's my problem ! My car seems to have poor performace upon startup untill I drive it for maybe 20 min. This happens everytime I restart the car , weather it's a cold start in the morning or a hot start after it's been driven for a while . It almost acts like the PCM is trying to relearn the fuel curves everytime I restart the car ... My car is a 99 and I have read they had week batterys in them and I wonder if this could be the culpret ? My gauges go WACKO when I start the car when cold ... Has anyone have any Ideas ? Thanks in advance guys !!!

Does your car surge on cold start? Idle go up and down like 300 rpms?

Your battery might be shot...

No the car doesn't surge , But the lights flicker at night when cold ... My old 97 formula used to do the same thing with the lights so I thought it just must be a f-body deal .. I will replace my battery tommorw and see if That helps !!!

Sounds like a grounding issue.

Most sensors in the engine are block-grounded. If the block is not properly grounded to the chassis, you have poor grounding and everything including the guages and sensors are going to get moderately upset.

I know electrical problems suck, but it sounds like you just need to find the ground strap and inspect it. If the connection is better made after the car warms up, it could be some kind of poor connection, which is harder to find than a non-connection.
