My buddies car 00 Trans am ws6

Small tick at idle on a cold start and also around 1100-1300 rpm when @ operating temp.

Car is not effected in performance at all.


Any ideas?

stock. 47K.

He just changed the oil to mobil one and it seems to be noticable more, 1000-1200rpm. Seems like a head tick. Have there been known problems?

Well if you had headers, I'd say header tick, which is normal.

But since you don't, it might just be normal injector noise.
Remember aluminum heads are noisy. I'd also loose the Mobil 1.
It's crap, change to Castrol Syntec or Royal Purple.
