IS IT TRUE A PORTED MAF WILL DESTROY AN 2000 4L60E TRANNY? <img src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" border="0" alt="[bullshit]" />

 

I am not a fan of ported MAFs. Why?

1) Can screw up your transmission line pressure.
2) Can, in some cases, result in severe detonation problems (personal experience and others there).

You can get HP gains from doing this, particularly on the pre-2000 models. There are better mods out there though.

 

Well, let's just say it doesn't help matters due to decreased line pressure.
