Spent the morning adding weight... I got a good idea from another LS1TECH member as to how to set up my water pump. As some of you may know I was having a hard time nailing down the "streetability" factor with my reverse flow EWP (car would over cool). I decided to run the stock water pump and electric water pump together. On the street I leave the accessory belt on (and the EWP off) and the car behaves like stock. At the track I will be able to pull the accessory belt off, rig up a short belt from the balancer to the alternator only, and turn the EWP on. I get reverse flow cooling and shortbelt in one. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
The bad news is I added 9#s of weight to the front, seeing as I had just paid $350 for those PA aarms that knock off ~10# (cough ripoff), I hated to add the weight back on. I'm going to put the car on the dyno next week and see if MMS can pick up some more power by adding in a few degrees of timing with the EWP on and race gas in the car. Maybe my effort will be worth .1ths? (shrug).
Now I just need to figure out a tensioner for running the short belt (crank/alt only) and I'll be set. Does anyone know if they make 6 rib "rubber bands" about 30 inches long? <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

When I figure this out, I'll be able to run the Meziere electric water pump that I want...
If nothing surfaces beforehand, I plan on taking a close look at some SE setups at the Gatornationals this year (not til the end of March, though).
